PHAS Outreach receives 2015 NSERC PromoScience Funding

UBC Physics & Astronomy Outreach Program receives $9900 for the 2015 NSER PromoScience program. 

The UBC Physics & Astronomy Outreach Program offers a wide range of activities, from summer camps, science competitions, to teacher workshops and public lectures. Our goal is to communicate the excitement and wonder of physics and astronomy, and its relevance to global issues and our everyday lives. With an emphasis on a large variety of programs for the young, their teachers, and groups normally excluded from tertiary education, the outreach program reaches ~4000 children and youth directly through our own programs, and another 3-5000 via programs organized by other partners.
