Lecturer - 2014

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of British Columbia is recruiting qualified applicants for a Lecturer position. The main teaching duties in this position will include teaching in our first year courses and laboratories, as well as possible upper year courses. 

The expected initial 12-month term of employment is renewable based on performance and availability of funding.  Applicants must articulate their interest in physics and/or astronomy research in their application, and a Ph,D, in Physics or Astronomy is expected. Familiarity with Information
Technology (web-based data systems) is essential, as is experience with contemporary pedagogical methods such as peer teaching. This position will be available as of 1 May 2014 and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
