Available Scanners

There are at least five scanners that can be accessed by PHAS account holders:

  • HP ScanJet 7400c in Hennings 203 (main computer lab)
  • Canon LaserClass 730i in Hennings 325 (faculty/staff/grad students access only)
  • Canon Colour imageRunner 5185 in Hennings 325 (faculty/staff/grad students access only)
  • Canon imageRunner 7086 in Hennings 325 (faculty/staff/grad students access only)
  • Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Document Scanner in Hennings 325 (faculty/staff/grad students access only)

NOTE:
If you cannot access the HP ScanJet 7400c scanner in Hennings 203, power cycle both the scanner and computer (see instructions). For more assistance, please contact sysadmin@phas.ubc.ca.

ScanSnap S1500 document scanner is a fast scanner that can be used to scan documents, receipts, or business cards, but it's not a good quality scanner for scanning images. Here is an instruction on how to use the scanner.
