This is Tzu-Chieh Wei’s homepage
located at the University of British Columbia. I have moved to the C.N.
Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University. My
new website can be found here at

I received my PhD in physics from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working on entanglement theory with Prof.
Paul Goldbart and on entangled photons and their applications in
quantum information processing with Prof. Paul Kwiat. After obtaining
my degree there, I stayed and focused my research on condensed matter,
mainly on superconductivity, BEC, and optical lattices. During my
career in UIUC, I have cultivated my interests in both condensed matter
physics and quantum information science, and have collaborated closely
with experimental groups such as Kwiat's Quantum Information Group and
Bezryadin's Low Temperature Physics Lab. In addition, I have
collaborated with Prof. Brian DeMarco and Prof. Smitha Vishveshwara.
In September 2007, I moved from Urbana-Champaign to Waterloo, where I was a postdoctoral fellow associated with Prof. Michele Mosca and Prof. Ashwin Nayak.
I was based in IQC and was affiliated with Perimeter Institute for
Theoretical Physics through Prof. Mosca and Prof. Nayak. There, I also
had the privilege to interact with Prof. Tony Leggett, when he spent two months in Waterloo every summer.
In September 2009, I moved from Waterloo to Vancouver, where I work with Prof. Robert Raussendorf and Prof. Ian Affleck. In Nov. 2010, I was "promoted" from a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to a Research Associate.
In September 2011, I will be taking on a faculty position at CN Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Stony Brook University.
