Joshua Tree National Park
Over the last Christmas, I went down to Joshua Tree National Park with Katy Holm and Jeremy Frimer. We drove down in a mere 26 hours to arrive late on the afternoon of Dec 17, just in time for a couple of warm-up routes. December is a great time to be in the desert and we were lucky enough to see only 4 drops of water in the entire trip. I won't fall for a guidebook description of what we did but only mention that with only 2 weeks to play and several thousands of routes to choose from, we did mostly JTree-super-ultra-classics routes and a few sandbags as well. If you are a climbing geek (like me and most of my friends), go here for detailed statistics of the trip. Most of the pictures (all the GOOD ones) have been taken by Jer but some are from me or Kelly. Talking of Le Jer, having not enough things to do and to much time in his hands, our favorite square head put together a nice little slideshow with music and all. Feel free to download the powerpoint and enjoy the show!!!
