In British Columbia everything is remote. One could walk to the hut in two days or so. A flight takes 7 minutes. The terrain looks promising. The little hut below will be our home for a few days. Hasta la Victoria Siempre.

The hut is basically one large room on the ground floor and beds upstairs. The outhouse is 50 m away, which is far in a -25 degree winter night. Schnee! Skins off. Powder everywhere.

Lars climbs faster than a mountain goat. Mountain goats ignoring Lars. Bill has a small ski.

Minus 25 degrees. Carl the Swede in the snö.

Climb, ski, climb, ski ... I'll kill you with a tray! The anticipation of a run is almost as good as the run itself.

Almost ... Snö and Schnee. An excellent skier preparing excellent food. You should try telemarxism. It is good for you. Trust me.

I shall never be lau again! Ageing backcountry skiers waiting for their ride. Climb and ski? No, here we are getting dropped off near the summit of a remote peak. It will take us almost all day to ski and climb back to the lodge.

A good sine is a good sign.

Behind the trees one can see our tracks.

Three hours earlier we had landed on the ridge on the horizon above Lars' head.
