Physics 259 Laboratory |
The final experiment can be chosen from the projects suggested below. You can also try to come up with your own project based on what you've learned so far and the electronic components available to you in the laboratory. One good source for alternative ideas is the text "The Art of Electronics".
Experiment #6: This project involves the assembly of an oscillator circuit
known as an astable multivibrator. After initial assembly, you will use
a temperature-sensitive resistor in the circuit, converting it into a digital
thermometer.

Experiment #7: This project involves designing assembling, and testing
a number of circuits that make use of Operational amplifiers: an oscillator,
active filter, and a Schmitt trigger.

Experiment #8: This project involves the assembly of a sophisticated
circuit that functions as a type of ANALOG to DIGITAL CONVERTER. You need
to download the final circuit diagram separately and print it in "landscape"
mode.
