The first experiment is intended to help you brush up on your basic laboratory skills, particularly the use of oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. It's also your chance to get a proper start on maintaining a good laboratory notebook - DON'T FORGET TO BRING A LABORATORY NOTEBOOK TO YOUR FIRST LAB!
