There will normally be an open position for a motivated graduate student with the right background in my group every fall. Please drop by my office to discuss possibilities.

     Funding for qualified individuals interested  in working with me is available through various sources. These include:

• SBQMI Postdoctoral Fellowships, deadline Oct. 15
  
• MPI/UBC Center for Quantum Materials -- Oct. 15
  
• The UBC Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship program, Nov. 1

Minimum qualifications for the above positions include a PhD in condensed matter theory and experience with topological states of quantum matter or a related field. The Fellow will reside at UBC and will have opportunities to interact with researchers on-site as well as various international networks.

For Killam please note that there is an internal competition in the Physics Department. Send your CV and arrange for 3 reference letters to be e-mailed to me ASAP. For MPI/UBC and SBQMI please follow the application procedure described in the above links. Also please observe the relevant deadlines. Killam fellowship has a firm deadline imposed by the funding agency and late applications cannot be considered. MPI/UBC and SBQMI are more flexible but applying before the deadline will ensure full consideration.
