Astronomical Objects of Interest

What's up in September?

Planets: Jupiter will be rising between Taurus and Pegasus at ~10pm.

Club Facilities
The Astronomy Club previously maintained a 12-inch Cassegrain telescope atop the Geophysics & Astronomy building (2219 Main Mall). However due to the demolition of this building, the telescope and dome have been removed by UBC and put into storage.

Latitude: 49° 15+-1' N
Longitude: 123° 15+-1' W

The Astronomy Club owns several smaller telescopes, including two 3-inch Star Watcher refractors. Club members may sign these out by contacting any executive member.
